Hi,
I am a new member to this board, and to AMC's as well. I recently purchased a very solid 69 AMX with only one flaw. It has an BBC engine in it. In my enthusiasm to correct this problem, I did a lot of research and decided put a 401 in it. Payton's Performance in KY was recommended by several different online sources as an AMC specialist with 30 years experience so I gave them a call, and ultimately agreed to buy a standard bore block, and standard journal crank from him (JT). I sent them the Edelbrock heads I bought elsewhere to put in the additional head bolt holes, and sent them some money for the parts and shipping. I called to check on it yesterday, and the phone number no longer works.
Does anyone here know them, or have any advice on how to get in touch with them? I sure hope I don't have to start over. That would really suck.
Sorry for the lousy introduction. I hope you can help.
Regards,
Roger
