Where does the head pipe on the passenger side of car with trendsetters connect to ??? Heat riser or exhaust manifold ? If it connects to exhaust manifold will you lose proper cold starts ? I have someone restoring a 69 BBB AMX and we are lost. Help ! Dan

The best bet is to take off the heat riser. Unless you are going to start the car in 30 degree weather the heat riser doesn't mean much. I have a 68 Javelin with Trendsetters and no heat riser and an Edelbrock Air-Gap intake( which has no coolant crossover for the carb) and I have no problem starting my car, even in temps around the 40 degree mark.
