tach with aftermarket ignition

Will this tach work with aftermarket ignition or am I just wasting my time trying to rout all the wires back where they came from

What kind of after market ignition and is the tac a stock one or is it also an aftermarket?? Kind of need to be specific if possible so we can give you the right information and you aren't running in circles or something.

The tach is stock, the box is Mallory. Im gonna try just hooking it up as was for stock and see if it works. Tryin to get the car done in time for Reno and right now the tach has moved down the list of importance. Thanks for the read, if it DOES work I'll post.
