I need to replace the disintegrating stock shift boot on my 4-speed 1968 AMX. I can’t find any previous threads on how to do this and it’s not obvious to me. Can someone please provide some guidance? I ordered one and naively thought I’d just remove the shift knob and slip it on but later realized that the reverse shift collar will still be in the way. Thanks!
