AC Receiver Drier 1971 AMC Javelin SST
Hello everyone. I am new to the AMXPerience and could use some advice. I have a 1971 AMC Javelin SST with factory AC. After flushing the compressor (which was filled with gunk and debris) and converting to R-134 the AC was blowing ice cold.... for a whole day. It then only blew warm air. The shop has now confirmed that it is the receiver drier that has failed. I have searched the internet and only am able to locate replacements that are for DEALER installed AC and the configuration does not match my factory piece. Does anyone know where I can find the correct receiver drier? Mine has a fitting on the top of the cannister and another on the bottom.
Any help would be appreciated.

You can have yours rebuilt at:
Classic Auto Air Manufacturing, Co.
2020 W. Kennedy Blvd.
Tampa, FL 33606
Ph. (813) 251-2356 or (813) 251-4994
I wrote an article with a complete rundown and tips when I redid my system. I stayed with R12, it's needed no maintenance since and it still works great. Though it's R12 you might find some other useful information in it. Check this thread - http://www.amx-perience.com/forum/sh...=4378#post4378
